Elected to the Thirty-second Parliament for Victoria Park at the by-election on 7 June 1986 held to fill the vacancy consequent upon the resignation of Ronald Davies. Re-elected 1989, 1993, 1996, 2001, 2005. Resigned 25 January 2006.
